How we test
Every review is written from time spent with the product. Where a measurement is quoted, it was taken here rather than copied from a specification sheet, and the conditions it was taken under are stated alongside it. Where something was not tested, the review says so rather than implying otherwise.
Scores are a summary of the review, not a substitute for it. A number without the paragraphs around it does not tell you whether a product suits you.
Where the hardware comes from
Every review states plainly whether the unit was bought, loaned by the manufacturer, gifted, or supplied through a retailer. That disclosure appears on the review itself, not only here.
A loaned unit is returned. No manufacturer sees a review before it is published, and no manufacturer has ever been given approval over one.
How this is paid for
Advertising, and affiliate links on some retail links. An affiliate link earns a commission if you buy through it, at no additional cost to you. Which links those are is marked in the page's markup, and no product has ever earned a better score for carrying one.
